Composers In Birth Order (283KB, 39 seconds with 56.6k dialup internet)
      Sorted in order of birth year. Gives you an overall view of how the development of different periods/styles were passed along to which composers.

Composers By Nationality (284KB, 40 seconds with 56.6k dialup internet)
      Sorted by their nationality first then birthdays. Gives you the same view as 'Composers By Birth' except the composers are separated into their different nationalities.

I started this list in the 1980s for my own use.  CDs were new then and I was building a library of classical music.  This list has been helpful to me over the years, in understanding the big picture and seeing the forest instead of just one tree at a time.  I've put it on the internet for anyone who might find it helpful as well.
This is suppose to be a catalog of only the great composers which would be hundreds, as appose to a list of all known classical music composers, which would be thousands. If you think that someone has been left out, or someone should not be on the list, please contact me, I welcome you comments.
